Porsa Media, under Abad e. V., is an innovative media start-up supporting Afghan exiled journalists in Germany. Serving as a professional platform for 50 Afghan journalists, it empowers them to continue their work and reach critical audience in Afghanistan. Established by Dr. Asef Hossaini, Porsa Media addresses the challenges faced by Afghan journalists, fostering democratic values and promoting non-violence through journalistic practices.

Porsa Media was born from Abad e. V.’s activities for exiled journalists and will initially be part of Abad e. V. However, the plan is to turn it into an independent media startup and media firm in the mid- and long-term. Porsa Media will have an extra focus on Generation Z and Generation Alpha, besides considering other actors inside Afghanistan, as these younger generations represent the future of Afghan society and their engagement is crucial for fostering democratic values and social change.

1- Deliver Reliable News: Provide accurate news tailored to Afghan youths, especially Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Their understanding of the engagement with current events are essential for the country’s future.

2- Advance Journalistic Approaches: Promote Conflict-transformation journalism, data journalism, constructive journalism, and solution journalism. These approaches present issues and solutions that resonate with and benefit Afghan society, moving beyond traditional reporting to actively contribute to peacebuilding and societal transformation.

3- Amplify Youth Voices: Raise the voices of Afghan teenagers and youths, fostering inclusive public discourse. By providing and inclusive and diverse platform, Porsa Media facilitates broader engagement, giving a voice to those often marginalized in media narratives.
